World Class Entertainment

The Paramount Theatre in the heart of downtown Rutland is a year round cultural center, hosting a busy schedule of top-name entertainment.  Experience entertainment ranging from concerts to comedy shows, theatrical performances to ballets, and popular films and sporting events on the massive, surround sound screen. The theater itself is a historic landmark, constructed in 1912 & 1913 to provide seating for 1000 in its orchestra, balcony, and six boxes. Fully renovated and open since 2000,the theater resumed its role as an invaluable community resource of 850 seats.  Check out our Calendar of Events to see what’s playing at the Paramount.

Performing arts are also alive and well in the Rutland area. In addition to the Paramount, many other musical and theatrical groups are thriving and providing fabulous performances. Don’t miss out on the many other cultural offerings!

    Come take the Otto's Green Mountain Adventure mini golf course challenge and enjoy16 holes of family fun at Lake St. Catherine! A 16 hole course? Cone Point General Store distinctively operates the only lighted 16 hole miniature golf course in Vermont (we lost two holes during store reconstruction last winter!). Still lots of family fun! When your golf day winds down, enjoy a bite and live Music @ The Moose local artist performances on our porch any given weekend. Into horseshoes? You can still hear the music from the pits adjacent to the golf course.

    Our programs and offerings are growing, thriving, and innovating, and we’re delighted to expand past the walls of our native home—the Fine Arts Center—and into new gallery and performance spaces throughout the region. Tickets are available over the phone by calling (802) 468-1119 or in person from 10 am - 4:30 pm Monday through Friday or one hour prior to a given event. The Box Office is located in the Fine Arts Center on the Castleton campus. You can purchase either individual or season ticket packages.
