Back again for the second year Center Street will be turned into an a sledding hill!

BYOS (Bring Your Own Sled).

Enjoy music, sledding and the Cardboard Sledding Challenge.

Cardboard Sledding Challenge

Cardboard, duct tape, and a creative imagination will go a long way in this challenge! Enter your home made cardboard sled in a race down Center Street.

Three divisions this year: Junior (Ages: 6-12), Teen (Ages: 13-18) and Adult (Ages: 18+).

Wonderfeet Kids’ Museum will be holding the Wonderpaws Festival in Downtown Rutland. The event will be held event on Saturday, September 24, 2016 on Center Street from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Wonderpaws Festival is a community event that will provide an opportunity for kids, families and community members to celebrate a day in downtown with their dogs.

Registration includes participation for dogs and dog owners in the Wonderpaws Festival Paw Parade, a token of appreciation for all participants and a chance to win a judges choice award in several categories.

The event is free and open to the public. However, all dogs must register to attend the event.

The festival will feature many kid-friendly and dog-friendly activities and demonstrations. In addition, visitors may explore dog-related vendors and specialists. Exhibitor and vendor opportunities available.

Sidewalk Sales & Circus

The end of July and start of August has marked the Annual Sidewalk Sales for years. This open-air market spans from lower Center Street around the corner to Merchants Row, drawing out sale tents and outdoor dining from businesses along the way.

In 2012 the circus component was added to the Saturday and features circus performers, carnival rides and lots of kids’ games and activities.

Local artists, crafters, food vendors and live music from area musicians throughout the day make this a fun event for all.

Back for another year is the Rutland Mini Makers Faire, where dozens of makers, crafters, inventors, and entrepreneurs will showcase their products and ideas.

The “Pit” parking lot transforms into a unique, amphitheater-like concert venue, with great acoustics.

Night Sledding – Winter Fest Kick- off Party!

Fun and Free family event!

Join us for the 14th Annual Winter Fest! Three days of outdoor winter fun in Rutland City!

Kick off the event on Friday night in Downtown Rutland with night sledding. Bring your favorite sled and get ready for some fun! We’ll be cranking out some tunes, too.

On Saturday watch as teams compete in the Snow Sculpture Contest, while enjoying many other activities in Main Street Park.

Spend Valentines Day at Giorgetti Park ice skating, snowshoeing, or sledding.

Check out the Cardboard Sledding Challenge and try racing through the obstacle course in the Teddy Bear Carry, both on Sunday.
