Taking place on Center Street on three different Friday nights in July, this series draws the community together to enjoy music, outdoor dining, children’s activities and more. The “Pit” parking lot transforms into a unique, amphitheater-like concert venue, with great acoustics.

Friday Night Live is a free, evening series taking place on three (3) Fridays in July.

The event brings people of all ages together to celebrate Downtown, its merchants and the local community.

Tonight features John Waite.

Center Street is blocked off for the evening and vendors are set up along the street in an open air fashion, while the “Pit” parking lot transforms into a unique, amphitheater-like concert venue, with great acoustics.

Visitors can enjoy music, outdoor dining, children’s activities and more.

About Kat Wright:

Kat Wright, whose voice is both sultry and dynamic, delicate yet powerful; gritty but highly emotive and nuanced, has been described as “a young Bonnie Raitt meets Amy Winehouse”. Add to that voice enough stage presence to tame lions, and the combination of feline femininity proves immediately enchanting. There’s soul flowing in and out of her rock ‘n’ roll with a serpentine seduction. Some of soul music’s sweet, grand dames belt, shout, seethe, and succumb, while Wright sings gently like a heartache’s apology. It’s funky in spots and beautiful all over. Marble Mardi Gras Gala and Auction

Marble Mardi Gras Gala and Auction for Carving Studio and Sculpture Center 

The Marble Mardi Gras will be held at the Rutland Country Club, March 3, 5:30 PM.

Each year the CSSC hosts the fundraising event in time to be a great cure

for the winter blues.

The gala features cocktails and a silent/live auction with Bobby Prozzo,

as well as a sumptuous dinner followed by dancing with live music by “Blue Jay Way.”

A wide variety of items is offered, ranging from dining experiences and

fine arts & crafts to vacation getaways, retail & service gift certificates and

sport & fitness opportunities.

Tickets for the event are $65.00 per person.

Dinner seating is limited.

All proceeds from this event go to support arts education programs of

the Carving Studio and Sculpture Center.
