2017 Solar Plunge

Announcing the 2017 Solar Plunge at Lake St. Catherine State Park, Saturday, July 22nd, 1pm-4pm!

Join us for an afternoon of fun with water activities, races, food, and music. Solar power companies will exhibit and participate as well.

Proceeds to benefit the food shelves of Poultney and Wells.

Come as a friends and family team or sign up with your favorite area business. Look for our solar plunge signs around town and inquire within!

Also, it’s rain or shine – barring thunderstorms of course!

Pancake Breakfast Buffet

The members of Hiram Lodge #101, F&AM, and those of Gilman Chapter #88, OES, will be putting on our monthly pancake breakfasts for the public to help with raising funds for our charitable projects.

The menu will include pancakes, French Toast, scrambled eggs, omelets, bacon, sausage, home fries, corned beef hash, coffee, juice, tea, milk, and whatever else that seems appropriate.

Maclure Library Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser

Maclure Library Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser

The Pittsford Bar and Grill has generously offered to host a Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser to benefit Maclure Library on Wednesday, June 7 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Tickets are $8.00 per person.

Tim Blow and family will serve up delicious spaghetti with their home-made marinara sauce and meatballs. You won’t be able to resist mopping up the marinara with the crusty bread.

All that deliciousness for a great cause!

There will be a 50/50 raffle and tickets are six (6) for $5.00 or $1.00 per ticket.

Don’t have time to sit down? Call 483-9373 to order in advance and take your meal home.

Bring your family and come join us at your local pub to support your community library.

Table 24’s 9th Anniversary Charity Golf Classic

Join Table 24 at Green Mountain National Golf Course as they celebrate our 9th Anniversary on the golf course!

It will be a great day of golf, food and fun with friends as we raise money to support the Rutland County Humane Society!

Entry fee includes golf, cart, lunch on the golf course, tee gift and a delicious dinner at Table 24 during our Awards Ceremony. There will also be a raffle and a silent auction, as well as other great games and contests of “skill.”

This is a fun, relaxed “Captain & Crew / Scramble” format and golfers of all ability levels are encouraged to play. If you don’t have a team, but would like to play, sign-up and we’ll be sure to match you with a great crew.

Stand up to Cancer Car Show

The 4th Annual Relay for Life Car Show will be held June 4 at the Home Depot in Rutland.

Open to all makes, years and models of cars and trucks.

Cost is $20 per car. All profits going to Relay for Life.

Time is 9 am to 3 pm.

Spectators are free but for a donation you can vote for your favorite car.

Food dj and great cars.

Check out our half price sale at noon, bag sale at 1:00.

Join us for a fun day of treasure hunting to support the care of homeless animals in our community.

Drop off times: Wednesday 5/17 4-6pm, Thursday 5/18 4-7pm, Friday 5/19 8am to 6pm.

We cannot accept electronics, tires, mattresses, appliances, clothing, broken, recalled or smelly items.
