Back by popular demand, the HFCU Halloween Block Party in Castleton! With games, food, music, costume contests and more, there is something for everyone!
Visitors will only allowed through the haunted house once; we have found that allowing guests to go through multiple times ruins the experience for other guests and jeopardizes the safety of our volunteers.
Children under the age of 10 are encouraged to accept the free glo-stick that tells our volunteers to remain still until they pass.
Fourteen years ago my sons decided they were too old to trick or treat. I wasn’t ready for them to give up Halloween so I decided to turn my home into a haunted house. In 2003 the first Bellevue Avenue Haunted House was born.

Join National Book Award–winning author William Alexander to delve into a wryly humorous story about two kids who try to save their town by bringing back its ghosts. William Alexander won the National Book Award for his debut novel, Goblin Secrets, and won the Earphones Award for his narration of the audiobook. His other novels include A Festival of Ghosts, Ghoulish Song, Nomad, and Ambassador. He teaches in the Vermont College of Fine Arts.
