Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes

Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes

APR 6 2018

8:00 PM

Tickets: $39 – $49

For Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes – ‘comfortable’ has never been a word associated with their brand of raucous, roots-tinged rock and bluesy reverie.

The Jukes have more than 30 albums on their resume, thousands of acclaimed live performances across the globe, and a vibrant legacy of classic songs that have become “hits” to their large and famously-dedicated fan base.

“With the Jukes, you’re out there every night leading this great rock n’ roll circus, giving it everything you’ve got” says Southside Johnny Lyon

Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes were the second band after Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band to emerge from the New Jersey shore scene, and though they carried over a significant influence (and some key personnel) from their predecessors, they were a horn band more in the Memphis Stax Records R&B tradition.

HOT TUNA

HOT TUNA

APR 4 2018

7:30 PM

Tickets: $30 – $40

“Hot Tuna is a Psychedelic-Blues Institution” – Rolling Stone Magazine

From their days playing together as teenagers, through their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for their Jefferson Airplane band to their current acoustic and electric blues, no one has more consistently led American music for the last 50 years than Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady, the founders and continuing core members of Hot Tuna.

Jorma and Jack certainly could not have imagined, let alone predicted, where playing would take them. It’s been a long and fascinating road to numerous exciting destinations. Two things have never changed: They still love to play as much as they did as kids in Washington D.C., and there are still many, many exciting miles yet to travel on their musical odyssey.
