Rutland’s Got Talent

The United Way of Rutland County proudly announces the debut of its long-awaited community fundraiser, Rutland’s Got Talent (RGT)!

Rutland’s Got Talent is the anticipated rebirth of UWRC’s previously longest-running fundraiser, The Really Big Show. “I am proud to have been a part of The Really Big Show for its 22 year run in the Rutland Community,” says Nicole Haley, UWRC Board Member and VP Mortgage Account Officer for People’s United Bank, the show’s sponsor. “There is currently a lot of fun, modern fundraisers happening in Rutland County right now that are proving to be very successful. We wanted the community to know that we were on board with that trend and decided it was time to start fresh.”

Rutland’s Got Talent will take place Saturday, March 23, 2019, at 7:00pm at The Paramount Theater in downtown Rutland. What sets RGT apart from its predecessor is the addition of exhibition acts, which will not be judged, but bring plenty of entertainment value for ticketholders. The judging of acts will now be interactive so that the talent and the audience are able to hear immediate feedback which adds another element to the show that was not in place before. Auditions for the show will continue to occur several weeks prior to the show date with the addition of acceptance via video submission.

Tickets for Rutland’s Got Talent will go on sale through the Paramount Box Office or www.paramountvt.org beginning in early February. For more information about audition forms, rules and more, please visit the United Way of Rutland County’s website at https://bit.ly/2FLxob4.

Proceeds from the Rutland’s Got Talent impact the health, education and financial stability of our community through the United Way of Rutland County’s annual campaign.
