Franklin’s in Proctor hosts February Mixer

The February Chamber Mixer will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Franklin’s in Proctor.  Join us for great food, friends and food.  There will also be a 50/50 cash raffle, door prizes including gifts from Franklin’s, Proctor Gas, Exotica Flowerz, Blossoms n More, Park Place Florist, Vibe Portrait Art, Peter Huntoon Water Color and Rutland Rehab Massage.  Franklin’s is located at 25 North St. in Proctor

Franklin’s is a family style restaurant. You can enjoy daily specials and prime rib on Friday and Saturday. Their extensive menu includes home made pizza, marinara, cheese cake and other deserts to go along with burgers, sandwiches, steaks, seafood meals, salads and more.

There is live entertainment on most weekends with a full bar, Wii games, pool table, darts and juke box. Eat in or take out. Available for parties and special occasions.

Open 7 days a week: Monday – Thursday, 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. Friday and Saturday, 11:30 AM to 1:00 AM. Sunday, 11:30 AM to 9:00 PM.

The Proctor Memorial Day Celebration

The Proctor Memorial Day Celebration

The Proctor Memorial Day Celebration will kickoff with a parade starting on South Street at LaFond’s at 10:00 a.m.  (Line up for trucks at 9:30 a.m. on South Street Extension).

The Parade lead by the Sheriff Department will proceed North on South Street and Main Street to the Park.

As the parade passes over the Marble Bridge a memorial wreath will be cast into the Creek.

Prayers, placing of the wreath at monument, Gettysburg Address, essay winner and bike awards will take place in the Park at the Gazebo.

Smithsonian Museum Day at Vermont Marble Museum

Smithsonian Museum Day and Proctor’s birthday!

Join us for two great events with one big celebration.

The home of the Vermont Marble Museum will be celebrating 130 years with a festival on the green.

There will be fun for all ages with train rides, pony rides, food vendors, live music, and an open house at the library.

Train rides will depart from Rutland, VT at 10, 12:30, and 3 pm for scenic trips to Proctor. Disembark at the Vermont Marble Museum for the afternoon with the last train departing back to Rutland at 5 pm.

The Proctor Free Library will be hosting an open house from 9 am to noon with information on the history of Proctor and its marble industry.
