Table 24’s 9th Anniversary Charity Golf Classic

Join Table 24 at Green Mountain National Golf Course as they celebrate our 9th Anniversary on the golf course!

It will be a great day of golf, food and fun with friends as we raise money to support the Rutland County Humane Society!

Entry fee includes golf, cart, lunch on the golf course, tee gift and a delicious dinner at Table 24 during our Awards Ceremony. There will also be a raffle and a silent auction, as well as other great games and contests of “skill.”

This is a fun, relaxed “Captain & Crew / Scramble” format and golfers of all ability levels are encouraged to play. If you don’t have a team, but would like to play, sign-up and we’ll be sure to match you with a great crew.

If would like to sponsor a hole, or donate a prize for our raffle or silent auction to support this event , your generosity will be greatly appreciated.

Table 24 strongly believes in giving back to our community and we are proud to donate all proceeds from our tournament to our four legged friends and all their “helpers” at the RCHS!

West Pawlet Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary’s Annual Flea Market, Raffle and Bake Sale

Sat Jul 9, 2016 9am – 3pm

This family event will be held on Town-Wide Yard Sale Day in West Pawlet at the fire station located on Vermont Route 153 (Main Street).

The firehouse kitchen will open at 9 AM for a light breakfast of donuts and coffee, and it will also be open for lunch.

Many homemade items will be available at the food sale.

Vendor tables in the flea market area are available for rent at $10 each. Reserve a table soon!

The Big Raffle drawings will begin around 2 PM with more than 50 items to be raffled, including Telescope furniture, an Aerius home heater by Electrolux valued at $600, and cash!

Raffle tickets are now on sale for $1 each and may be purchased through any Auxiliary member.

The whole community is invited to have a lawn sale.

Middletown Springs Historical Society Maple Festival

Historical Society Maple Festival Blends Old and New

The Middletown Springs Historical Society will be holding its 28th Annual Maple Festival on the Green and indoors on Sunday, March 20 from 1-4 pm.

The event will feature a demonstration of early maple sugarmaking in a cast iron kettle over an open fire.

Local sugarmaker Ryan Mahar and historians David Wright and Jon Mathewson will give a presentation on maple sugaring history and current practice using examples from the Historical Society collection.

Delicious maple desserts created by Society members, maple products and new 2016 syrup will be available for sale.

Old-fashioned sugar on snow and maple cotton candy are always favorites.

Videos about Vermont maple sugaring will be shown continuously.

A silent auction featuring donations from local artists and craftspersons, merchants and professionals, including vacation rentals, expert lessons and fine crafts highlights the afternoon.

A raffle with over 50 prizes including $75.00 and $50.00 in cash, maple gift baskets, maple syrup and maple products, craft items, and gift certificates from local businesses will go on continuously during the festival.

Acoustic music and kids’ activities enliven the free afternoon event.

Soup Bowls for Hunger

The ninth annual Soup Bowls for Hunger will be held on Thursday, March 18th in the Rutland High School Cafeteria.

Tickets are $15 which includes soup, roll, dessert, beverage, a hand crafted soup bowl and entertainment.

There will be three sittings at 5:00 PM, 6:00 PM, and 7:00 PM.

Entertainment will be provided by RHS choral director, Dan Graves. Raffle tickets will also be available for numerous donated items.

Tickets must be purchased in advance at Rutland High School. All proceeds will be donated to the Rutland Community Cupboard and other local food shelves.

Enjoy a bowl of soup, crackers, roll, dessert and beverage. Choose your own bowl to take home.

Music by Dan Graves as well as raffles and silent auction.

Three sittings – 5, 6, and 7 p.m.

Make checks payable to Soup Bowls for Hunger. All proceeds will benefit the Community Cupboard and other local food shelves.
