Affair of the Heart

Join the Rutland Heart Center for a comprehensive heart fair that will showcase the resources available to our community for heart health. Learn about the services that benefit patients with heart issues, including insight into diagnostic tests and procedures.

Talk with professionals about the latest information on treatment and gain information on ways to support your healthiest heart possible! Exhibition booths include Cardiac Rehabilitation, Anticoagulation Clinic, Echocardiography, Stress Testing, Transitional Care, and Dietary.

Rutland Heart Center nurses will be on hand to take blood pressures.
Registration is requested but not required for this free event.

Come at any time during the fair hours.

Come Alive Outside Design Challenge

Come Alive Outside Design Challenge

We are very proud to be producing the 2016 Design Challenge in Rutland in partnership with Carpenter and Costin, Rutland Regional Medical Center and 802GO!

On October 27th-29th, Landscape Design students from the SUNY-Cobleskill and SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry will be travel to Rutland to participate in a collaborative design charrette with the students from Clarendon Elementary, Stafford Technical School and leaders in the community.

The colleges will render initial design concepts to present to the community for feedback on Saturday morning the 29th.

Challenges in life can be gateways to learn, grow and gain a new perspective on life. Rutland Regional Medical Center’s class, Peace and Calm in Chaos: Your Journey – Discover Your Inspiring Story on Thursday, October 27 from 6:00 to 7:30pm at Rutland Regional Medical Center in the CVPS/Leahy Community Health Education Center on 160 Allen Street.

Cost for the class is $10.00 and pre-registration is required.

Class size is limited to 30.

Free Family Fun Time Community Event-“JUST PLAY? NO WAY!

Just Play? No Way!

Play prepares a young brain for life, love, and even schoolwork. To celebrate the benefits of play, Rutland Building Bright Futures (BBF) is holding its fourth annual Free Family Fun Time Community Event-“JUST PLAY? NO WAY!” Saturday, October 22nd from 10am-Noon at Rutland Regional Medical Center in the CVPS-Leahy Conference Center.

Stations will be set up featuring lots of creative hands on activities involving art, music, reading, exercise, health, and nutrition.  Snacks (some of which are donated by Vermont Country Store and Champlain Orchards.) and beverages will be provided in addition to door prize giveaways.  Parents, Families, and Community Members are encouraged to attend.

802GO! 5K- Promoting healthy fun in our community

802GO! 5K- Promoting healthy fun in our community

Walkers and runners of all abilities and ages are invited to participate in our annual 5K.  In addition to the popular walk with a doc option, this year we are adding a kids fun run at 9:30 am (prior to the race- *registration on race day only*), as well as children’s activities.

Event details and schedule

Enjoy the views and have fun on this 3.2 mile course which ends with a mild incline up to the Hospital finish line and then a welcoming post-race reception and awards ceremony. Registration fees are $25 until 9/30/16 and $30 for day of event registration.

The first 100 registrants will receive a free t-shirt.  Students 18 and under are $10 (with no t-shirt).  **Registration for the kids fun run will be available the day of the race, so please arrive early to complete check in.**

Packet pick up will be held Friday Sept 30th in the Employee Wellness Office on the 1st floor, as well as the morning of the race starting at 8am.

Day of Race Schedule

8:00 Event opens with registration available until 9:30

9:30 Kids fun run

10:00 Race begins

Post Race food will begin at 10:30

With awards and raffles starting at 11

There will be children’s activities before/during/after the race
