City of Rutland, VT looking for an Associate Engineer – Assists the City Engineer in a variety of civil engineering projects of varying difficulty
-Serves as designer-draftsman preparing plans and other drafting room assignments
-Prepares specifications for public works projects
-Operate, performs analysis and develops mapping products using GIS software
-Maintains and updates records and plans of the City’s public works facilities
-Knowledge of engineering principles and practices as applied to public works projects
-Experience with Microsoft products (specifically Word and Excel)
-Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with other employees, city and state official and the general public
-BS degree in a Public Works related engineering discipline or Registered P.E. or EIT in Vermont or ability to obtain such registration within 2 years
-Valid drivers license and clean driving record
