This is a service position that provides World Class Member Service to both credit union members and employees. We are looking for an individual who will serve members promptly while representing the credit union in a friendly, courteous and professional manner.
Starting Salary: $17.25/hr and up Benefits Include: Paid time off in addition to paid federal holidays Medical, dental, and vision benefits to employees who regularly work 24+ hours a week 401k match Ongoing training opportunities 8 hours of volunteer time with an organization important to you Who we Need: We are looking for a motivated, friendly, professional candidate who has the ability to work full time or part time hours with rotating Saturday hours. Hours are flexible for part time, but would require availability for end of day (up to 6:00 pm) and inclusion on the rotating Saturday schedule. This position has been identified as having the potential to work remotely after an initial training period. Due to the requirements of this position, the initial training period may last anywhere from six (6) to eighteen (18) months. Essential Functions and Basic Responsibilities: Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally Represent the credit union in a friendly and courteous manner Maintain robust knowledge of services offered by the credit union to educate members and actively make recommendations to members for their benefit Help member with account maintenance including paperwork in connection with any fraud Review loan applicant profile and create consumer loans including installment, Visa and overdraft line of credit Perform miscellaneous requests including responding to email and eBranch inquiries and faxing and mailing information Track member information and documents in a confidential and secure manner while adhering to the ever-changing compliance guidelines Required Education and Job Competencies: High school diploma or equivalent Ability to work cohesively in a fast-paced team environment Excellent verbal communication skills Ability to utilize phone and basic computer systems Effective communication and business writing skills for internal and external contacts Preferred Education and Job Competencies: Previous call center experience Previous work in a financial institution Experience with financial institution software systems Working Conditions/Environment: This position requires sitting for long periods of time utilizing a phone headset and working primarily at a workstation or desk in an open office environment. Daily tasks include extensive use of the phone and computer, performing standard keyboard functions, requiring repeated motion. Stretching breaks are recommended to avoid injury. Some light lifting and carrying of large paper files may be required. Equipment is available and recommended for use of transporting large quantities of files to and from various locations.
