The Chamber & Economic Development of the Rutland Region (CEDRR) is in full support of the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants’/Vermont Refugee Resettlement Program and its role in establishing a Reception and Placement program site in Rutland, Vermont.
While some of our larger events may have shifted in the last few weeks, one exciting offering, originally planned to launch at our Parade of Heroes + Community Celebration on Aug. 28, is still in full swing. The staff at Chamber & Economic Development of the Rutland Region (CEDRR), along with The Paramount Theatre and Come Alive Outside, are excited to announce the first annual Fruits of Labor Community Raffle.
On Friday, August 27th, the staff from the Chamber & Economic Development of the Rutland Region (CEDRR) delivered thank you cards and cases of whoopie pies to essential workers whose organizations had signed up to march in the Parade of Heroes & Community Celebration presented by Heritage Family Credit Union originally scheduled for Saturday, August 28th.
After careful consideration, Chamber & Economic Development of the Rutland Region (CEDRR) and The Paramount Theatre have made the proactive decision to postpone the Parade of Heroes + Community Celebration, originally scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 28, to a later date.
In Mid-July, Chamber & Economic Development of the Rutland Region (CEDRR) launched the latest phase in Rutland County’s Regional Marketing Initiative – known as Real Rutland – to attract new residents to the Rutland Region. The latest phase is designed to attract new workers to the region to increase the local workforce.
Proctor Gas hosted the August CEDRR mixer at their Market Street location last Tuesday and it was a sizzling time! The crew at Proctor Gas generously opened their air-conditioned office for the 50 plus attendees to mingle about while avoiding the humid weather outside.
Just like many other organizations, Chamber & Economic Development of the Rutland Region (CEDRR) hadn’t been able to bring the community together in over 17 months due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This past month, we hosted our first of several in-person events as a newly merged organization.
This year on National Intern Day, Chamber & Economic Development of the Rutland Region (CEDRR) reflects back on current and former interns while encouraging other regional employers to consider hosting interns to advance their everyday work.
The Mentor Connector is dedicated to connecting the Rutland Region’s youth with a sense of purpose, passion, and belonging.
