The Rutland Region Chamber of Commerce is happy to be working with the Vermont Department of Tourism & Marketing on this great initiative.
The Stay to Stay Weekend program is an initiative developed by the Vermont Department of Tourism and Marketing (VDTM) aimed at out-of-state visitors interested in moving to Vermont. The 3-day weekends will connect guests to employers, entrepreneurs, and potential neighbors in local communities, and begin to provide a road map for how visitors can relocate to Vermont. Guests will receive a warm welcome on Friday evening at a reception hosted by a local chamber or young professional’s networks, where they’ll meet others interested in moving to Vermont, as well as community leaders, businesses owners, young professionals, and state and local officials. Guests will spend the next two days exploring Vermont’s many attractions. On Monday, they have the option to meet with employers that are hiring, take a driving/walking tour with a realtor, or visit an incubator/co-maker space to meet with entrepreneurs and professionals.
The pilot program of Stay to Stay will be in Rutland, Brattleboro, and The Shires (Bennington/Manchester) on the weekends of: August 10-13, and October 19-22. The program will be administered by VDTM in partnership with the Rutland Region Chamber of Commerce.
