Primary Responsibilities: • Oversee lending and servicing staff and maintain in-depth knowledge of lending programs, products, and lending software systems. • Develop partnerships and marketing strategies to grow Cornerstone’s lending business and financial sustainability. • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and Cornerstone loan policies and procedures. • Regularly assess loan portfolio risk and identify and implement strategies to manage risk • Maximize the timeliness, cost-efficiency and customer responsiveness of Cornerstone lending operations • Develop strategies to streamline lending and loan servicing processes. • Collaborate with lending team and other departments to create positive customer experience. • Research and evaluate the feasibility of adding new lending products, interest rate analysis, and technology improvements. • Oversight of Loan Committee, ensuring compliance with our Loan Policy and Board Governance. Business Development: • Establish and deepen relationships with key centers of influence and partnerships. • Expand our network and market presence. • Effectively communicate the benefits of our products to current and potential partners and clients. • Generate marketing concepts and material to promote products and services. • Lead business development efforts by working closely with lending staff and collaborating with lender to prescreen, underwrite, and structure loan applications. • Develop strategies to connect with borrowers for both existing and new products. • Identify changes to existing products to address needs and maintain strong deployment of loans, while safeguarding loan quality. Leadership and Administration: • Propose annual projections to leadership team for budget purposes that outlines specific goals and objectives for loan activity. • Regularly evaluate actual financial performance against target\budget. • Provide loan portfolio management by tracking and reporting on the overall performance of the loan portfolio. • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of monthly and quarterly lending reports to internal colleagues/leadership team and to external partners. • Conduct an annual comprehensive loan policy and procedure review while ensuring it aligns with current regulations and internal controls. • Conduct quality control reviews as outlined in loan policy. Required: • Must be eligible for registration as a registered mortgage loan originator • 10+ years of experience in mortgage lending and management • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe • Proficient BytePro or comparable LOS • Knowledge of Community Development Financial Institutions • Knowledge of SalesForce Other Expectations: • Experience in both residential/consumer and commercial lending a plus • Primarily in office with remote work options • Some travel expected • Ongoing continuing education to stay current with best practices in CDFI and lending. • Requires repetitive movement, bending or twisting, reaching, sitting, standing, climbing and walking; sitting for extended periods of time using keyboard and computer; safely moving or lifting objects up to 40 pounds.
