Grade EX138 ($51.60 – $82.43)
Responsible and accountable for managing the day to day operations of multiple nursing units. Utilizes effective strategies in developing, supervising and evaluating work processes, resource consumption and outcomes. The Nurse Director plays a major role in the development of personnel, compliance with regulatory and professional standards, and fosters collaborative relationships with the clinical and practice managers, providers and with community-based healthcare partners.
Minimum Education
- Graduate of approved school of nursing with BSN degree; MSN preferred.
Minimum Work Experience
- Five years nursing leadership experience including 3 years of specialty area experience.
Required Licenses/Certifications
- Licensed in the State of Vermont.
- ANCC NE-BC Certification.
- BLS Certification through American Heart Association.
- Unit-specific certifications as required (ACLS, TNCC, PALS, ENPC, CPI) per specific department operational framework.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Knowledge of human resource management, program development, fiscal management skills, and familiarity with regulatory and accrediting agency standards preferred
- Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Knowledge of human relations, group dynamics, change management and quality improvement techniques.
- Knowledge of management techniques, methods, theories, and principles.
