SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

Our firm is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team in providing personalized tax, audit, consulting, and small business accounting services to our wide variety of clients. This role will provide an experienced accountant with the growth opportunity to assist the management team with their supervisory responsibilities and with the development of less experienced staff. Primary Responsibilities:
Manage assigned responsibilities and deadlines while working directly with clients on multiple tasks
including:
- Prepare and review more complex federal, state, and amended income tax returns utilizing client data, financial reports, reconciliations, and other accounting information.
- Interact with a wide variety of clients including individuals, S & C corporations, partnerships, estates & trusts, non-profit organizations, and small businesses.
- Assist clients with identifying short and long term tax saving strategies, as well as consult with clients for year-end tax planning.
- Assist in the planning and preparation of audited, reviewed, and compiled financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Perform research projects under the guidance of experienced supervisors in the areas of financial reporting and taxation, including payroll and sales tax data.
- Expand the customer experience in an environment that combines innovative technology, techniques, and procedures.
- Deliver high quality phone, email, and in-person customer service to all clients.
- Uphold the firm’s professional code of ethics and business conduct.
- Assist with the training and supervision of staff accountants.

Certifications/Diplomas/Prerequisites:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Accounting, Math, or another related area
- Credit requirements for CPA exam or willingness to pursue EA designation
- Experience with QuickBooks and/or other accounting software is preferred
- 2+ years of experience in public accounting and/or tax preparation
