Franklin’s in Proctor hosts February Mixer

The February Chamber Mixer will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Franklin’s in Proctor.  Join us for great food, friends and food.  There will also be a 50/50 cash raffle, door prizes including gifts from Franklin’s, Proctor Gas, Exotica Flowerz, Blossoms n More, Park Place Florist, Vibe Portrait Art, Peter Huntoon Water Color and Rutland Rehab Massage.  Franklin’s is located at 25 North St. in Proctor





Franklin’s is a family style restaurant. You can enjoy daily specials and prime rib on Friday and Saturday. Their extensive menu includes home made pizza, marinara, cheese cake and other deserts to go along with burgers, sandwiches, steaks, seafood meals, salads and more.

There is live entertainment on most weekends with a full bar, Wii games, pool table, darts and juke box. Eat in or take out. Available for parties and special occasions.

Open 7 days a week: Monday – Thursday, 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. Friday and Saturday, 11:30 AM to 1:00 AM. Sunday, 11:30 AM to 9:00 PM.

RYP December Mix: Giving Back

December is the time of year when we give back to our community. That’s why our monthly Mix will take place at the College of St. Joseph (in the Giorgetti Library) in part with the Gift of Life Marathon blood drive on December 20th from 6-8pm. We’ll hear from Steve Costello, organizer of the Gift of Life Marathon, who will share some history about the blood drive. Local resident Dawn Hill will also tell her personal story about the difference that blood donations can make.

If you’re interested in donating blood, the drive will take place from 10-6 on Thursday, December 20 and Friday, December 21. Please consider signing up for a donation time (at https://www.redcrossblood.org) and helping to save a life! We’ll also have a sign-up sheet at the mix.

Cash donations will be accepted for the American Red Cross in place of door prizes.

Chaffee Art Center Holiday Exhibit Opening Reception

The Chaffee Art Center invites the community to our Holiday Exhibit Opening Reception on November 30th from 5pm to 7pm.  This event is free for all to attend.  Come experience the beauty of the arts showcased in our 1890’s historic mansion decorated special for the holiday season.  The exhibit includes a Gift Room perfect for that one-of-a-kind handmade treasure to give to those on your list.

Also on display will be Gingerbread creations with the return of the Chaffee’s Gingerbread Contest.  Awards will be presented in a variety of categories during the Opening. All are invited to submit their imaginative creations.

Please plan on joining us in celebrating the talented artists in our community at the November 30th Opening Reception.  Mingle with artists and community members while enjoying food tastings, beverages, music, art and gingerbread displays.   Some of the beautiful art on display will be oils, watercolor, ceramics, photography, mixed media, stained glass, sculpture and more.  In the spirit of the season,  a non perishable food item donation would be gratefully accepted

The Holiday Exhibit will be on display through January 5th. A special thank you to Rutland Garden Club for bringing the Chaffee mansion alive with the magic of the holiday season.

UWRC Holiday Mixer and Auction Fundraiser
