Get Brewin’ for the RCHS Pints for Pets Fundraiser

Join us on Saturday October 20th at ‘The Pit’ in Rutland for our first ever homebrewers competition fundraiser for the animals.

You can enter your own homebrew or you can come by and taste through and vote on your favorite!

Enter your homebrew before September 30th and get a t-shirt!

The prize for the Judge’s Choice winner will get the opportunity to can their winning beer on Rutland Beer Works’ 20bbl (700 gallon) system.

100% of the proceeds go to the RCHS

Crowd Favorite will also receive a prize.

Rutland County Humane Society Duck Derby – Adopt a (Plastic) Duck or Two!

Join the Rutland County Humane Society (RCHS) for our annual Duck Derby to raise needed funds for the homeless animals in Rutland County.

On Sunday, September 30th at 2 pm, adopted (plastic) ducks will be launched into the stream at the Pittsford Recreation Area.

The first 4 ducks to reach the finish line win cash prizes.

We’ll also have a cash prize for the last duck!  Ducks are available for adoption at the RCHS shelter in Pittsford, you can download the form or order ducks online from our website, www.rchsvt.org.

You can adopt a single duck for $3, a Quack-Pack (4 ducks) for $10 or a 6-Quack (6 ducks) for $15.

Ducks can be adopted at the event, as well.

You do not need to be present to win, but if you want to, come on down and cheer on your ducks!

Support the RCHS and join us for an enjoyable afternoon of racing ducks!

11th Annual Rutland County Humane Society Dock Diving

11th Annual Rutland County Humane Society Dock Diving

Sunday, September 16th – 11 AM – 3 PM

The Palms at Prospect Bay

Registration begins at 11am, practice jumps begin at noon, competition starts at 1:00.

There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place longest jumps in categories from Novice to Pro.

There is a $10. entry fee for Dogs, and donation for spectators.

Stop by to watch or compete, and enjoy an afternoon of fun on beautiful Lake Bomoseen.

Dog Days Of Summer Pool Party

Dog Days Of Summer Pool Party

Let your favorite pooch enjoy the end of summer with a dip in the pool!

The Rutland County Humane Society (RCHS) is hosting the Dog Days of Summer Pool Party at White’s Pool (at the end of Avenue B in Rutland) to raise funds for the homeless animals in Rutland County.

All funds raised, including entrance fees, are for the Rutland County Humane Society.

There will be free swim throughout the event (for dogs only!) along with games (fastest doggy paddle and a dog jumping contest) and more!

All dogs must be leashed unless swimming in the pool. Vermont law requires all dogs to be up to date on their rabies shots.

Admission is $5 per dog/donation for people.

Yard Sale For The Animals!

Join us on Saturday, May 12th for a fun day of treasure hunting to support the care of homeless animals in our community.

Make sure to bring your sweet tooth for the delicious bake sale we will have, and please no early birds.

Donations are welcome, and you don’t have to pre- price them this year!

Any donation Items can be dropped off at the brown building next to the RCHS shelter on Friday, May 11th from 8am-6pm or on Saturday, May 12th from 7:30am-9am only.

Benefit Movie Night

Our friends at Omya are sponsoring a Family & Friends Movie Night!

Join us Friday, April 20th at the The Paramount Theatre for a viewing of The Sandlot.

Doors open at 6:15 p.m.; movie begins at 7:00 p.m.

Admission is FREE with a per person donation of some of the suggested donations on the flyer which will benefit the BROC Community Food Shelf and feed families in need and Rutland County Humane Society so they can care for the animals.

Your support will help many in our community.

For the Love of Dogs Variety Show

Lesli Hyland and her team of talented dog lovers will be performing with their four legged friends in front of a live audience on Saturday, April 7, 2018.

Performances will start at 1 pm on stage at the Rutland Intermediate School Auditorium.

Be amazed by dancing, music, tricks and more!

Tickets are $10 for adults and FREE for children!

ALL proceeds will benefit the homeless animals at the Rutland County Humane Society.

Rutland County Humane Society Blessing of the Animals

In honor of the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals, the Rutland County Humane Society and Father Liam Muller of Trinity Episcopal Church will host the Blessing of the Animals.

All pets, or a picture of your pets, are welcome for a special blessing by Reverend Muller.

The ceremony will be held at 2pm on October 8th, outside at the Rutland County Humane Society (765 Stevens Road, Pittsford,VT).

The Rutland County Humane Society will be hosting our 6th annual Duck Derby at 2pm, on Sunday, September 24, at the Pittsford Recreation Area.
