Wine Tasting at Pierce’s Store

Wine Tasting at Pierce’s Store

Join us for a free wine tasting at historic Pierce’s Store as we sample four great red wines from Spain, all at prices under $15 as we were able to take advantage of some recent sales by our distributors. The wines all feature the Tempranillo grape which makes deep ruby red wine that rivals the better known Cabernet and Pinot Noir.

The tasting will be in Pierce’s Store in North Shrewsbury, a vibrant country store that dates back to 1865 and now part of the Preservation Trust of Vermont.

We are featuring 4 excellent reds all at fantastic values thanks to the generosity of our wine distributors (we were able to catch their pre-holiday sales!)

  • Tapena Tempranillo 2011, a fruit-forward highly drinkable red from Castile going for $11 per bottle
  • Rivarey Crianza 2011, an elegant Rioja going for $11 per bottle
  • Martin Codax Ergo Rioja 2012, a smooth Rioja with a long finish going for $12 per bottle
  • 90+ Cellars Lot 114 Toro 2013, a classy $20 red that is going for $12.75 per bottle

We have limited supplies of each, so get there early before we sell out!
