July Blog: A Lot To Be Excited For In Rutland County

Gov. Phil Scott’s recent announcement of the reopening of our Green Mountain State came as exciting news for everyone for many reasons; hugging our loved ones, traveling, attending a concert — you name it. While our staff at the Chamber & Economic Development of the Rutland Region (CEDRR) were equally as excited for these same reasons, we were also anxiously awaiting the time that we could share the news with the broader community about celebratory events that we have been working on for the last few months.

June Blog: A Look Into Our Past and the Future Ahead

In August 2020, Rutland Economic Development Corporation and the Rutland Region Chamber of Commerce merged to form what is now the Chamber & Economic Development of the Rutland Region (CEDRR).  Our merged organization is proud to be working on behalf of all businesses and communities to make Rutland County the most collaborative, innovative, and friendly place in Vermont to live, work, play, and grow a business. Through these columns, we will share what our staff has been working on since our merger, including new initiatives as we move into the post-pandemic economy.

CEDRR Receives Vermont Internship Program Grant

The Vermont Department of Labor (VDOL) announced the 2021 Vermont Internship Program recipients. VDOL is awarding a total of $462,500 to 20 organizations located around the State of Vermont.  The program provides grants to organizations in an effort to establish a connection between businesses and educational institutions.
