Finance Assistant – Rutland Regional Planning Commission (RRPC) Location: Rutland, Vermont (non-remote) Hourly Rate: $30/hour Position Type: Part-time up to 25 hours per week The Rutland Regional Planning Commission (RRPC) is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Finance Assistant to support financial management functions. This part-time position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to contribute to the financial administration of a regional planning organization that supports communities across Rutland County. Key Responsibilities: • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable • Process invoices and payments in a timely and accurate manner • Maintain financial records and assist with monthly reconciliations • Utilize QuickBooks Online to manage transactions and reporting • Assist in budget tracking and financial reporting • Support the preparation of grant reports and reimbursements • Ensure compliance with financial procedures and internal controls • Collaborate with staff and external partners on financial matters Qualifications: • Significant experience in finance, accounting, or bookkeeping • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel • Strong understanding of financial procedures, reporting, and reconciliations • Experience with nonprofit or government accounting (preferred) • Familiarity with grant management and fund accounting (a plus) • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines • Ability to work independently and as part of a team Why Join RRPC?
