Hello Chamber Members!
There are many great things about May – the tulips heralding spring’s arrival and the wonderful scent of lilacs by the end of the month. It’s time to clean up our yards, dust off our grills and get the golf clubs out – just in time for our annual Golf Classic being held May 19th at the Rutland Country Club! Ahhhhhh Spring!
At the Chamber, we are happy to be heading to the May Mixer hosted by OMYA and being held at the Vermont Marble Museum in Proctor. We are going to take this opportunity to celebrate 20 CHAMBER MEMBERS who were voted BEST OF THE BEST by Vermont Business Magazine. I am extremely proud of our showing on this list and want to congratulate each and every one!
The Regional Marketing Initiative continues to be an exciting project and we are enjoying working closely with Mondo Mediaworks. We continue to visit towns in our county to explain what we are doing, learn about the great assets in their community and invite participation. If we haven’t visited your select board meeting yet, we will soon be on our way! The next large event in the Marketing Initiative is the unveiling of the strategy, which will take place toward the end of this month. After strategy comes content creation – the creative stuff. We will keep you posted!
We are actively looking for a Director of Business Development and it is my hope that we will be introducing the next member of our team in the next newsletter. It’s an exciting time to be part of the Chamber!
We are making the LAST CALL for the new Membership Directory “FACES OF THE RUTLAND CHAMBER”. If you haven’t signed up yet, time is running out. It is a great opportunity to tell the story of what you do and how you do it in a beautiful publication that will be distributed through our normal channels as well as to newcomers to our community. If you haven’t heard about it – call us to learn more, You won’t want to miss out!
Enjoy the budding trees, the loudly chirping birds and the chance to get outside and come alive!
