Hello Chamber Members and Friends!
I hope you are all adjusting to the changing of seasons and saluting the official “Stick Season”!
Thank you to all who attended our Rutland Region Chamber Annual Meeting at the Paramount on October 4th. It was great to socialize with all of you and then show off some of the great projects we have been working on throughout the year and some exciting things ahead. Congratulations to Russ Marsan of Carpenter and Costin – our Business Leader of the Year! Well Deserved!
In just a few weeks we will be welcoming approximately 30,000 visitors as the Women’s World Cup Ski Races descend on Killington once again. If you haven’t been up there during this amazing weekend, please go. Killington Resort and the Town of Killington as well as all the merchants, do a fantastic job of hosting this incredible event. It is truly a signature happening for our region and we appreciate the economic impact it has on our region as a whole.
I hope you all caught the NBC Nightly News on October 13th when Rutland was featured as participating in the Vermont Department of Tourism’s Stay to Stay Program where we invite people to visit for the weekend but learn how they can stay for good. It’s a great program that we are happy to be a part of. For more information, visit VermontVacations.com.
The REAL RUTLAND Marketing Campaign is in full swing and we’d like to thank all the participants in this year’s videos, photography and audio segments that are helping us promote this region as a great place to move to. The realrutland.com website is new and exciting – and you can see many stories of people in our communities answer the question “Why Rutland”? They are all well done and inspiring!
Have a great month – and don’t forget to shop in your own local stores – especially this upcoming holiday season. As always, thank you so much for your Chamber Membership and for your support so we can do the things we do to help this region thrive!
