Statewide – Vermont Celebrates Open Studio Weekend May 27 & 28, 2017 –

Open Studio Weekend is an annual statewide celebration of the visual arts when Vermont artists and craftspeople invite the public to visit their studios during Memorial Day Weekend.

Vermont Governor Phil Scott will be the featured speaker at the RutlOMYA logoand Region Chamber of Commerce and Rutland Economic Development Corporation Legislative Luncheon sponsored by Omya & TD Bank on Monday, January 30th, 12 noon at Southside Steakhouse, (170 South Main St., Rutland).

The luncheon is open to the public. The cost of the event is only $20 per person and includes a delicious luncheon buffet.

We are no longer accepting RSVP’s.  The event is sold out.

Mango and her students have made several trips to Iceland. She shares her research and observations, examining the similarities and differences in renewable energy production in Iceland and in Vermont, considering what one region can learn from the other.

Statewide – Vermont Open Studio Weekend is a statewide celebration of the visual arts and creative process, offering a unique opportunity for visitors to meet a wide variety of local artists and craftspeople in their studios, and purchase high quality, hand made artwork.

2016 Fall Open Studio Tour takes place over October 8 & 9, Columbus Day Weekend. The Vermont Crafts Council is offering two weekends this year in conjunction with American Craft Week, a national celebration of craftwork, taking place from October 1 through October 16. Different groups of artists will open their studios on the two weekends.

The self-guided Open Studio tour features the work of glassblowers, jewelers, printmakers, potters, furniture makers, weavers, ironworkers, painters, sculptors, quilt makers and wood carvers. Many participating galleries will host gallery talks and feature special exhibits in conjunction with this event.

The Vermont Crafts Council publishes a free map booklet with directions to participating sites. To order map click here

The Vermont Open Studio Guide is available throughout the state at Tourist Information Centers, galleries and studios.
