I hope this finds you all happy and healthy as we begin our new year. As we look back to 2016, we want to acknowledge the significant transitions that have taken place, the successful events that you helped make flourish and the many new members that have joined our association. We appreciate your membership and value your trust.
We have been working diligently on the Regional Marketing Initiative, a collaborative effort to grow our economy by focusing on population increase through a marketing strategy. Lyle Jepson, the Director of the Rutland Economic Development Corporation, and I have been visiting many towns and select boards to gain participation and support from the municipalities in our region along with the continued support of our business community. Although this is a long range plan, the wheels are set in motion and the reception has been strong and positive from the beginning. We are excited to be taking an active role in leading this initiative!
As we look to 2017, we are uncovering new ways to do things. Look for a new and exciting Member Directory, an Indoor Golf Tournament (coming up soon) and some exciting new twists to Winter in August. We hope to see you at any and all of our upcoming events!
